Headless CMS for Organic Artisan Bakery in Rio.
Corporate website — Primavera dos Pães
The assignment
I developed a new website with a custom content management system for Primavera dos Pães, an organic artisan bakery in Rio de Janeiro. The old site had performance issues, the content did not include details about the stores and products, and the content management needed a simpler division to facilitate management.

Project goals
Create a digital experience for the product catalog and physical stores, while communicating the bakery’s values.
Improve the website’s performance based on Google Core Web Vitals standards, ensuring fast and efficient navigation.
Simplify the website’s content management, allowing for direct and intuitive updates, without the need for technical knowledge.
The project was divided into 3 parts:
UI Design
We proposed an interface that accommodates a vast collection of bakery images to help visitors understand Primavera, not just through the exuberant photos of its artisanal products, but through the people, environments, and processes.
Front-end
For good performance, we chose Next.js and hosted the front-end on Vercel. The content is loaded via the WordPress API using GraphQL, statically generated, but incrementally updated (ISR) by Next. Animations, grids, and responsiveness were handled by Tailwind.
Content Management
We created sections and custom fields in WordPress so that the bakery team feels confident to freely edit all the website content. The selection of images and composition of texts is almost entirely done by them. I may be biased, but I think they deserve congratulations.
